About Sharon Marie

Hi I’m Sharon Marie and I’m a blogger, mum of two amazing kids, affiliate marketer and most recently digital course creator.

I love to create, which is something I found out when I quit my corporate recruitment career 3 years ago, in search of more time with my kids and to pursue the laptop lifestyle. I discovered a love of digital marketing and I’ve never looked back.

Back then my life looked very different. I had what to others would have looked like a great career and a good life and don’t get me wrong, compared with lots of people’s situations we were doing OK. The problem was I had no time. I was rushing in the morning to get my kids, half asleep out of the door, so that I wouldn’t be late for work and then rushing to leave work on time, so that I could collect them before the after school club closed. There were many occasions when they would be sitting outside of the school with the play leader because I was late, due to traffic or being delayed at work.

I was doing what so many people do, Monday to Friday, working to make someone else money, grow someone else’s business and essentially, exchanging my time for money. I knew something had to change and I was desperate to find a way out.

At the time I had recently separated from my husband and I was on my own, supporting myself and my kids. I needed to have an income. felt totally trapped.

Life now is very different and I’d like to share with you how I managed to change my situation.

So what can you expect to read about? Well I’d like to share all sorts of things with you, but I guess the reason I’ve started to write this blog is so that I can share my journey into self employment, starting my own business, losing “a boss”, ditching the 9-5 and creating a lifestyle that allows me to “live life free”.

I know that lots of people reading these pages will be where I was back then. I’m here to tell you that there is another way. You don’t have to kill yourself working for someone else’s dreams. It won’t be easy and you’ll need to be patient and work consistently towards your goals, but it is possible.

I hope you’ll enjoy reading about my journey and that I can share some ideas that might inspire and help you on your own journey.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sharon Marie xx
